NOVOAIR, a leading private airline in the country and Firefly of Malaysia have signed a memorandum of understanding.
On behalf of NOVOAIR Mr. Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director and Mr. Philip See Yew Jin, Chief Executive officer of Firefly, signed the agreement on Thursday in a ceremony held in NOVOAIR head office.
According to this agreement both the airlines will be working in the areas of training, engineering, aircraft maintenance and operational support to each other.
Mr. Mofizur Rahman, Managing Director of NOVOAIR said, Our goal is to provide better service to passengers and ensure a safe journey. Therefore, we have signed this MoU with reputed Firefly for the necessary cooperation with aircraft maintenance, skilled manpower to further improve the quality of service.
Mr. Philip See Yew Jin, The CEO of Firefly said, I believe the signing will be considered as a milestone in cooperation with NOVOAIR, one of the leading and prominent private airlines in Bangladesh and also believe that the scope of cooperation will expand. Therefore, this agreement has been signed with the aim of improving the services of the passengers through exchange of experience among the organizations. We are very pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with NOVOAIR.

Firefly was established on 2007. Firefly is a subsidiary company of Malaysia airline. Apart from commercial flight operation, Firefly offers pilot training and has a very well reputed maintenance, repair and operations facility.
Currently, NOVOAIR operates daily 5 flights to Chattogram, 5 flights to Cox’s bazar, 5 flights to Saidpur, 5 flights to Jashore, one flight to Barishal, Rajshahi and Kolkata with 6 aircraft ATR 72-500 model aircraft.
