4th Aircraft added on NOVOAIR Fleet

NOVOAIR, the premium and leading airline of Bangladesh, added 4th aircraft on fleet today on 29 Dec 2015. ‪‎ATR72‬-500 is French-Italian manufactured ultra-efficient and technologically advanced aircraft with 68 spacious, comfortable seats.

This aircraft touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Dhaka at 6:00pm on 29th December 2015 and a warm reception was given by the high officials of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Ministry of Civil Aviation & Tourism, Airport Authorities and NOVOAIR officials to welcome this new aircraft.

Another 2 (two) ATR72-500 series aircraft will be added on NOVOAIR fleet by this January 2016, which will increase NOVOAIR fleet size to 6 (six) aircraft. These newest aircraft’s will be operated on regular flight services between Dhaka and Saidpur, Rajshahi, Barisal & regional routes.

Novoair yesterday started an international flight to Yangon in Myanmar.

The airline will run three weekly flights between Dhaka and Yangon on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays with Embraer ERJ145 aircraft, the carrier said in a statement.

The airline will charge Tk 22,222 for a two-way ticket, according to the statement.

Novoair is also offering a travel package for tourists at Tk 29,522 per person on a twin share basis with a three-day and two-night package, including visa processing and hotel booking.

The flight will improve communication between the two countries and help in strengthening bilateral relations in financial and diplomatic terms, Khurshed Alam Chowdhury, civil aviation and tourism secretary, said at the event as the chief guest.

Novoair has been fully compliant of regulations till now, has proved its quality of service on the domestic routes and hopefully will continue its dedication to service on international routes as well, he said.

“Myanmar is an attractive place for tourism with natural beauty and historically important sites, and it has been open to foreign investment since 2010,” said Mofizur Rahman, managing director of Novoair.

Many global investors are now setting up businesses in Myanmar, especially in the field of oil, gas, energy, mineral, telecom, banking, infrastructure and tourism sectors, he said.

The number of foreign businesses in the country is on a gradual rise, Rahman said.
